Av Hilde Andrine Eikenæs

The German Steffen Tepel took over the leading place in the overall World Cup Nordic Combined. He came very strong out at the 7,5 km sprint and got the second place in the final competition in Stryn Sunday. The Norwegian Mikko Kokslien won the sprint, and Einar Uvsloekk came at third place.
Steffen Tepel said that he felt good about the second place and he hope he win the final in Kuusamo. He hopes that the weather would have been better, and he feels the arena with the fjord and the mountains and Stryn itself is a very cool place.
Storming Mikko Kokslien was very happy with first place and hopes to advance in the finale in Finland next weekend.

Einar Uvsløkk was pleased with third place and he was very happy. The first day he did not compete.

The weather conditions Sunday were good for the ski jumping. – It was very good to jump today, much because of the wind, said David Zauner. He could also tell us that in a competition in USA he got his shoulder hurt, but now he’s okay, and he won the competition today with a distance of 100 meters. He had the earlier jumping record here in Bjørkelibakkane, with a distance of 103 meters.

Coordinator for Federation International de Ski (FIS) Nordic combined, Sabine Meinel comments:
- The weather made it difficult, but the organizers was always prepared and made the best out of the situations, said Meinel.
We was very gratefully and imposed that the committee could organize an extra competition on Friday because of lack of snow in Germany.
Things that she meant could be better, was better access to the running start on the ski hill with a lift.
